I have tombstones that are ready to be painted, aged, etc. I have no idea where to start first. I know that I'm basically gonna need drylok, exacto knife, and a torch which I all have.
Do I drylok the entire tombstone first, then start carving, or vice versa? When would I paint the inside of the carvings? Is there a quick 1,2,3 scenario someone could give meż
Thanks in advance

Terra has a wonderful tutorial here:

Great question! What I want to know is how well do the tombstones hold up? I imagine the foam itself is pretty fragile, but what about after the drylok & stuff are all added?
I already have flat plywood "stones", but was thinking of adding foam to them for some depth & interest.

I dunno, everyone has their own ways... I was looking at Terra's tutorial:
Beloved Tombstone
for beloved and she hit black paint first and foremost. Then I'm guessing drylok. I'm not sure of the effect it gives off doing it that, cuz its hard to tell..but maybe I'll carve first, black paint it all, then drylok.

Terra carved it and then hit it with black spray paint. That's to eat away at the foam for natural looking damage. Then she coated the whole thing in drylock.
These are two of her videos on the building/painting process.
