i saw one at Spirit last weekend. I was really hoping for it to be cool, but I was totally underwhelmed. I have last years Michael Myers and Jason, and I was hoping that I would like him enough to fork out the cash, but after seeing it in person, I thought it actually looked better online. The michael and Jason feel more scary and imposing, the pinhead just seems boring standing there holding a box. I know that's true to the character, so maybe if I was a bigger Hell Raiser fan I would have liked it more.

Unless you absolutely have to have an animated Pinhead, check out the static Pinhead prop at halloweenexpress.com. It's only $99. Everywhere else I've seen it listed for $250 to $300. I picked one up because I just couldn't fork over $280 for one that simply turns his head and says a few lines. If you're wanting a Pinhead but are on a budget, this is the one for you. It's made of hard foam and looks nice. The back is open, but a cape would easily conceal this if that is a concern.

I saw pinhead at Spirit on the weekend. It was 'ok', not awesome. I mean if someone gave it to me I'd be happy, but I couldn't see myself buying it.
It was selling for $330.00, which is way over priced IMHO. I suppose part of the cost is licensing, but still.Doctor Grim

Well I thought I scored a coup at one of the Spirit stores here. Pinhead in an unopened box. Paid for him after using my 20% coupon and after $242, left happy. When I got home, opened the box and suspected that this may have been a re-seal. Things did not seem to be where they should with the support carborad, etc. I laid the box on its back and pulled out the figure. The head was in a semi-molded cardboard holder. I opened it up and found 5 pins missing on the left side of the face running up along the nose. It seems there are beveled metal discs under the latex that the pins connect to through the latex. I was only able to find one pin in the box and the head was not in a plastic bag as every other Gemmy figure has been, so I suspect this was a return. The head is going to be the weak link with this figure in relation to the pins, so if you find one check the head out completely before leaving the store. I have to admit though that the sculpt of the head and other parts of the figure are impressive and it looks really cool. Now I just have to find one complete!

I got lucky, my pinhead head was in the bag and came with one extra pin, strange. I Love this prop, although I was also a big fan of the movies. Persepective I guess......
