The Headless Horseman, John Doe, Leatherface, and Dracula...

Blank, Jack the Ripper, Norman Bates, and Abraham Van Helsing...

Michael Myers, Freddy, Sweeney Todd, and Hannibal Lecter...

Really excellent work! What was your base material of choice?

Wow that's a lot of stones. I love all of the little details, awesome job! Was the pink foam easy to work with? I used that blue styrofoam for my first and I found details to be almost impossible.

The pink was VERY easy to work with and its strong. I used a lot of random techniques to get natural deterioration. X-acto knife to cut all the lettering and cracks...then used the x-acto to chip away other details like the crosses, pumpkin, trinity... Then to add the large chipped section I would paint the stone with a primer except wear I wanted the large deterioration/chips and then I put a torch to it and melted those areas that weren't painted...hope that all makes sense.

Dude those are amazing. Nice work! So...I have some blanks I'm working with and need to be painted, carved, etc. Did you use, or should I start with Drylok as a base? Would I carve first or drylok the whole tombstone, then carve?

Then whats the next steps... paint the inside of the lettering black for example? Do I torch, and distress last?

I have an idea of what to do, but I'm confused by the order of operations...

Thx in advance and once again, kudos!
