Anyone find any new projections for this year? Would love to see if the Eddie has done anything new for 2011 for singing pumpkins!

If there are no new projections for this year...would you recommend the pumpkins from last year?

I use it with a projector on a large 3' x 2' antiqued gold framed screen a friend gave me & it worked GREAT ! I didn't have a tv or monitor large enough for the frame & the size of the TV I did have just didn't work,.... I wanted a larger mirror character ( the largest tv I had was heavier than I wanted to deal with ). I used a white shower curtain sheet from the dollar store & stretched it on frame back, hung up some black plastic walling, cut a hole just smaller than the frame, put the frame in front of hole & ran a rear projection.
The mirror -
Didn't get a good shot of it in action, flame & character too fuzzy in pics, but very convincing in person / in action -

Used the new magic mirror with flame & "asleep" / invisible mode, when a ToTer came, I helped them cue the mirror by having them ask "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who the has the scariest costume of all " The mirror character would appear, I used a Karaoke machine set on echo & mirror would say " I AM ", & interact with the ToTers after that for they're candy. I had more parents interacting & amazed with it than the kids.
After that I've been using it as a projection only now, projected the skull head on a back drop in a graveyard scene with fog rising onto screen that added a whole new dimension.
For $15 & some imagination, these characters add something dif with interaction vid / projection. The Pumpkin can be set with facial expressions only, so an interactive singing pumpkin can be set up & projected onto a pumpkin & play with Toters too !
Just another thought for anyone wondering what new to do.......

Just got the Windowcreeps and love it! Was so disappointed to hear that Hallowindow isn't coming out with a new one this year. The ToTs have come to expect a new 'movie' every year so was desperate. Luckily the Windowcreeps fits my theme perfectly. WHEW!
Here's a vid of it:

This is really great! I've had in the back of my mind to use a projection someday, but never looked into it. I have a 70"x 50" front window. To get an image onto it, I'd have to buy a projector and screen, project from inside the house to the screen which would then be visible to those outside. Right? If so, are there any tips on Craigslisting or ebaying a projector and screen?
thx,
Ross

Ross, search the prop forum for projector and you will find lots of info. I use a 10' spandex screen on a homemade pvc frame inside my house for a rear projection, basically because I already had the screen, others use a shower curtain stretched tight. projectors, 2000 lumens is the recommended minimum for a great looking video display, when you drop off from there you need darkness to make the display pop out better.
here's an ebay seller that has 10' by 7' scretchy lycra/spandex screen with attachment loops around the edges and a carrying bag for about $150 - http://www.ebay.com/sch/stretchyscre...id=p4340.l2562DJ Rich B

ok, thanks, that's helpful! I did look around other postings for projectors and saw links to various web sites that have projector reviews and such. It all looks very neat, but that projector cost is really high! In my quick search looks like a minimum of $300 or so for one with good light intensity. That puts it out of reach for me this year.
