One of the big traditions of my childhood was this one house that every year would always take a picture of every TOT and the kept a photo album for it all. Well I had these cut outs from my hearse and thought they would make a cool thrown. So we're going to use it to make a photo-op. A couple kids will be able to sit together, and we're attaching a card to the candy that gives our web site, where they can download the photo, like a week after halloween. This is the progress so far:

It still needs the front supports, the arm rest, which will have skulls on the front, we're going to put padding on it, covered in red material, and might have some kind of sign with it, not sure yet.

What a great Idea!!! Unfortunately I don't have any pics of when I was a kid at halloween. (sad) The best part was that my mom was a professional photographer. Go Figure...

Will do, I hope it works out as well as I see it in our head. This will be good because before halloween we're doing a boyscout night, where the local troop is coming for a private event, so this will be nice for their parents to see if they can't be there.

JIC u get any eccentrics you may want to have a form sheet with a spot for signature release for pictures to the website. Sounds like an awesome idea and id hate for it to end in one year over someone changing their mind.

Yeah there are different options, Well basically that's how it will go for the person taking the pictures, if they don't want their kid on the web site, they don't have to have a picture taken by us, they are more then welcome to take it themselves.

Photo Ops are a great way to "Build" your haunt. Being a business owner (karate school for 18 years) I cannot tell you how many people have asked us to have their picture taken with them.

Last year I set up one display away from the others for that reason. Without telling them what it was for, people kept having their kids go over and pose next to it for a picture. Besides the great advertising, it helps to build that all important relationship that will keep them coming back.

I did a photo op the last two years and it has been a big hit. I also have it on my website so the kids can view it. If they want a picture than I will send an attachment by email. I have a more gory photo op, but the kids still enjoy it! I have a link that will show what I did 2008 Halloween.
