I would love to see other people's corpses...what they started as, materials used, time taken, type /color of stain etc. Also, if there were things you would do differently the next time.
We are getting closer to the big day and I am in the midst of corpsing a 27" roughly Bucky I got at Michaels for 15.00...they are awesome! I am using the liquid latex and cotton technique. So far I have probably invested about 10 hours over time including carving out the extra plastic lines around the seam of the skeleton, then layer after layer of latex and cotton. Will be using Red Mahogany stain on him for the juicy burnt look. I tried using paper towels and toilet paper but I didnt like the way they handled...they tore up very easily and turned into mush. The cotton holds up through pulling, stretching and gives a great effect with the latex. Once I get my blucky's I will try the panty hose method, I assume that I can use liquid latex with that method without a problem? I really do not want to use carpet adhesive if i can avoid it. I will spend the extra bit of money to get the latex...just a preference I guess.
Pics to come...

I guess I can kick this off.
Fred. Bucky corpsed with nylons/liquid latex. Stain is oak, red mahogany, and ebony.
Biggest issue with Fred is I hung him from the little hook there on his head...and it came unscrewed during corpsing. It's not fun to try to get a slimy bucky back together...
His face looked a lot better prior to that incident.

Bob. Paper mache, corpsed the same way.
I would NOT use nylons on a paper mache skeleton again. Broke a couple ribs stretching it.
It was also my first mache skeleton. I'm a LOT better at it now...

Steve: Paper mache with paper towel/latex 'mummification'. Stained with red mahogany then painted with a mixture of yellow, green, purple, red, and white flourescent paints (mix under a blacklight, it's the additive color pallete...) to look like a mummy under blacklight.
