i had an idea for Halloween after watching Saw 5 for the billionth time, i want to have a butcher table in my lawn with everything from the chest down "butcherable." The table and prop will look like the Pendulum Trap in said Saw movie, and i would just like any tips on how to construct the table.

Im one of those people that if theres a dead body or something that involves a human body, i like using a real person, so hence the Saw 5 table. If anyone wants ideas or has an idea and would like to use a real person i could help, thanks guys.

yes, its going to be me XD, i have to make a whole lower body starting from the bottom of my ribcage. the whole build is going to basically be a remake of the Saw 5 pendulum scene just instead of a pendulum someone else is going to be cutting "me" open.

Which part do you need help with? The table or the body or both? For the body, I would get some long-johns (a size too small, you want them tight) and some duct tape. Have a friend wrap you in the duct tape while you're in the long johns. Make sure it's tight and smooth. Next cut them off using as few cuts as possible. It might help to put some alignment marks on beforehand too. Once you get the items cut off, tape them together and stuff with polyfill. Get some foam to shape where the body is cut off if needed, and some fake hands and feet. Coat everything in a layer of latex carpet adhesive taking care to blend where the hands and feet meet the rest of the body so it is seamless. Get some acrylic paints in skin tones and paint everything. That should give you a realistic looking body.

For the table you need to get a piece of plywood and some MDF. You want to build the table so that there is an area below the table top where you can lay with your chest and head poking through the top. make sure to pad it so it doesn't get too uncomfortable. also make sure that the box where you will be laying is strong enough to support you. Use 2x4's and screws. Cover the plywood with a top of MDF with a boarder of MDF as well Use 1-2 inch strips of MDF glued to the bottom. Sand and fill all the joints and get everything smooth. Next paint it with Rustoleum stainless steel paint. Put your body on the table, get inside the table and have a friend help you blend the joint where your body meets the fake body with foam and latex. Use costume latex where it will meet your skin. Finally you will need a mirror placed at an angle underneath the table to make it look like you can see through the underneath. Some plexi-glass and mirror tint film would make a cheep mirror.
