So this is my first "big" haunt year for my front yard haunt, "Willow Crest Manor".

Some of the highlights will be me in an oversized igor/frankenstein style costume, a magic mirror wall, and my 3 projection talking busts (madam leota style face projection).

I want my haunt to have sort of a cohesive feel to it, so that all the parts seem to go together, so I'm trying to think of what dialog I want my busts to be talking to each other about. I'm not good at writing dialog so I've been piecing together bits of things I've found online to try to have little 15-20 second snippits of talking they can do before being quiet for a minute or so. So far all I've come up with are these sayings that I like:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

As spirits roam the neighborhoods at night,
Let loose upon the Earth till it be light...
Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen,
Voices whisper in the trees, “Tonight is Halloween!”

It’s Halloween! It’s Halloween! The moon is full and bright
And we shall see what can’t be seen On any other night.
Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls, Grinning goblins fighting duels
Werewolves rising from their tombs, Witches on their magic brooms
In masks and gown you’ll haunt the street
And knock on doors for trick or treat
Tonight we are the king and queen, For oh tonight it’s Halloween!

    Welcome! Welcome in! Well....come in!

It’s Hallo-scream, boils and ghouls and
The mirror no doubt has plenty in store for you

Find XXXX (I haven't named my oversized costume guy yet...maybe after his head is painted I'll have a better idea what to name him),
he’s the caretaker of Willow Crest Manor and he’ll show you the way
don’t let his odd demeanor fool you, he’s usually the afterlife of the party!

creep out of trouble, kiddies, because
there’s always room for one more permanent guest here at Willow Crest Manor!

    “I’m soooo hungry”
“look! the little ones are out and about again”
“they are so tiny this year, i doubt they will be filling”
“don’t worry, they are just the appetizer, there will be more coming after this batch”

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

the tone of these don't seem to fit together to me, but I like them all individually. I'm trying to keep the tone lighter for the little TOTs, but with Tales from the Crypt style joking in it.

Does anyone with better writing skills have any suggestions for me?

    Thanks!

here's the head of my oversized costume guy (minus paint and hair/eyebrows)

and here's sort of what my yard will look like all setup.

I forgot to mention the busts I made will have the faces of myself, my son, and my wife and so we'll be the ones talking back and forth to each other.

I'm moving this to props so it can get the right help...

LOVE the sculpt on the bust! It looks like a Wallace and Grommit character!

I would do some searches on Halloween poems and stories and see about how you could break them up to be performed by your three.

Jokes are also good - you can have one tell the joke, and the other two laugh or say how unfunny the jokes are - have them all take turns telling silly jokes.

I like the joke idea! reminds me of the old guys on the muppet show. haha. That head is the head of my oversized costume. These are my busts that will have the faces projected onto them.
