Does anyone use plexiglass for ghost effects. I use a tv for a ghosthead floating in a window but I want to add a walking ghost effect. to my graveyard this year. I seen somewhere a ghost come out of the ground using same effect I used for ghosthead but I was wanting to try a bigger effect. Something more lifesize. any ideas. here is my last years halloween yard.
http://wbko.mycapture.com/mycapture/...alue=halloween yard hope the link works. the ghost head is at the first of the video.

Sure you just gotta work out the angles. You could probably make the video yourself and just project it on to a piece of plexiglass for the desired effect. It will take plenty of tweaking to get just right, but it sounds like it will be really cool.

We create a nearly life size ghost effect using a "scrim" which is really just large sheer piece of black cloth we got from Joanns fabric and a projector. In our application, you can't see the edges of the cloth or the projector beam so the ghost appears to be floating above a coffin. We are redoing the video this time with a blonde wig which will improve the composition of the projection.

so you just used projector showing on the sheer black cloth? Was the projector hooked to a dvd player?

Oh my god that is amazing! Can we get a video?
Life is too short to not do what makes us happy, keeps us sane, or both.

Here is a link to a video of the haunt we did. The best shot of the hearse ghost is about 2 minutes into the video.
