Hello all,
Im looking at making a clock the spins backwards, and moves fairly quickly. And ideas on how to make it spin?
It cant be battery powered. It has to be able to plug into a wall.
If you have any ideas please let me know.
THANKS!!

Just a clarifying question.... Does it need to behave like a regular clock and minutes and hours move independently or will they be moving around at the same time and not matter?

Why can't it be battery powered? A mini portable fan would work!

And if you do find a solution that might work that is battery powered don't discount it. You can easily adapt it to a plug-in version.

I was looking at doing like a giant wall clock. I wanted the hours hand static on the 13th hour, and the minutes hand spinning backwards somewhat fast.
I have no idea what to use to make it spin. It cant be powered by battery cause im plugging it into my animated lighting display.

Still think you could make a great effect using a portable fan. And it would be fairly easy to convert it to AC plug.

Couldn't you just mount a 25 to 30 RPM DC motor (with the minute hand attached to the shaft) from the back of the clock. Then use a AC/DC adapter (wall wart) to power it?

I also thought about maybe like a disco ball motor?
