I just picked up these lenticular photos from Dollar Tree. For of course $1 each. They are approximately 5" X 7". I was wondering if anyone had ever cut off the cheesy plastic frame and put them in a real picture frame?

Cool. I thought that might make them look better and a little less cheesy.

Someone posted their end result after doing that; they looked much better. I bought them too, but wasn't paying attention to the frames, and accidentally got one silver and the rest in gold. Sheesh. And, to make matters worse, I was in a hurry and accidentally got two of the same one, thinking there were 5 designs (before it was said here that there were only 4). Good thing I wasn't shopping for a big ticket item, right?

I bought my set of 4 portraits yesterday. I was planning on cutting the frames off and reframing but may hold off. If I use them outdoors on a display right now they are pretty much waterproof and they do have the clear picture picture hanger on the back too, so pretty much ready to hang. Mybe for $4 I'll pick up another set so I have an indoor and and outdoor set. I could see using them in both settings.

Is that what they're called? Lenticular? I tried to explain that to my local dollar store worker but I might have been speaking another language (this being California after all).

Cute dog, what does he/she think of your stuff?

The dog looks like he/she is saying "You bought THESE THINGS instead of DOGGIE STUFF!?! You're crazier than the cat."

I can't wait to hit Dollar Tree tomorrow when I get my hair cut finally. I had to postpone my appointment & I'm feeling rather shaggy at the moment. My hairdresser is around the corner from both Dollar Tree & Big Lots so I'll visit both afterwards.

She pretty much wondered if it was something to eat and lost interest after she smelled them.
