Pretty cool Tanker. Keep up the good work. I really should video my own walkthru this year so i have the video to play back and share later. Can I ask how much of the stuff you bought and how much you made if thats not too personal? And how many people help you? I'm looking to do my thing up bigger and was hoping get get some idea what would be involved, Thanx. And Happy haunting. Cait

To answer your question... I would say that its a 50/50 mix of stuff ive bought and stuff ive made. Ive been doing this for about 10 years now and every year it gets a little better. One of the two main things ive made for the house are the Jacobs Ladder and a pneumatic floor that falls 2 inches. This year i am planning on making 2 new effects. One is the barrel jumper and the other is a vortex tunnel.

And about 6-10 people were helping me last year... I always say... the more people the scarier it can be. You just have to have more places for people to hide. And its always nice to have people roaming around the outside of the place.

Oh and there is at least one good effect that they didnt use in the video. In the first room of the house right as you leave there is a small water stream blast that is controlled by the people in the room.

That is entirely cool, and thank you. On a good year I have 2-3 helpers. Thus I am using a lot more inflatables and stuff that operates by itself. This year I have a lot of "promised" help but am not holding my breath. I figure 4-5 I can count on. A horde if everyone shows!
I have about an 80-20 mixed favoring store bought but am working like a maniac this year to change that. About 60-40 make for the stuff I add this year. I do guided walkthru's so I don't need a lot of help but more people like you said would give me a lot of options and make it cooler and way more fun. Though a ;lot of people bringing kids have started bringing cameras and video equiptment so I must be doing something right. Again thanks. Cait
