anybody tried these? how do they look lit up. Im trying to get affordable lighting this year. Lost all mine last year to unavoidable circumstances. These look like what im after but i dont want to end up with a white lite with paint on it so it doesnt shine. Does it look like a blacklite? I accidentally bought black lights instead one year (yes the space is important)

Busch Gardens Williamsburg has been using colored CFLs for a few years, and they're great. They cast a richer color than a party bulb, are more intense and, in the long run, a cheaper alternative...

I had one of these last year at the base of my staircase in the basement and it worked for that small area but if you are looking for it to light up a whole room you will probably need a few.

our living room is about 20 x 25. I was thinkin 3 in the center fixture and 7 in the spot lighting on the sides...n 2 in the lamps...hehe that ought to do it. (Im sure when he gets back 2 of them will turn back into regular lights...
