Mine is one of the Gemmy's that has the skull head. I put fluid in it several years ago and have just kept it in the gargae all this time. We pulled it out a couple of months ago and it worked fine. I was real worried about leaving it full and dirty all these years.

I clean mine each year with a strong vinegar solution. Sometimes even strait vinegar if there really clogged up.

Yeah i understand the buy cheap and dispose of them. However i think i am going to go to a couple continuos foggers. We ahve an outside haunt and a lot of ground to cover. The cheap ones work ok for some things but fustrating to spend $ on something that lasts a year or if we are lucky two. Besides we are limited in electrical. So i think i would rather have a couple really good high output foggers than a bunch of cheapies.

It's a bit of work, admittedly, so it may not be worth trying to fix a low-cost machine.
I found that last night and started the process. I was able to pull some parts out of the motor of one of the cheapies and use in the more expensive model. Now just to clean the block and hopefully it will be good.

I was testing a new fogger the other day and it was fogging like crazy. Then I guess it reached its max output and stopped. I waited, waited, waited (this is only a 400w fogger). I'd press the button to fog and I'd hear a click in the fogger but no fog. I came back after about 10 minutes and it still didn't work. I swapped in a different controller and it worked great again. But then after working fine, it stopped for a very long time again. I'm wondering if these things have some kind of internal timing device that senses the last time it was triggered and starts the clock on a certain period of time. Say that time is 10 minutes. So if you try to activate at 8 minutes, it resets the time to another 10 minutes.

I don't know, these things can be really frustrating. I'm tempted to pick up a $200 continuous fogger from Minions just to make sure that when I trigger fog I get fog. The problem is, I'm not all that confident in the expensive machines.
