I FINALLY got to the ending point of the base for Daryl the Dragon and am ready to start papiering him! This has been a long time coming, I hope I don't have any issues with the cardboard base, but I don't expect to. I'm not entirely happy with the head, mouth area but I'm not sure how I can change it to make it the way I want right now. I'm thinking I might cut into it after a few layers of papier are on.
What color do you all think I should paint him once the papier process is done?

That's pretty elaborate and very creative with cardboard! Can't wait to see him after he's been mache'ed!

Wow, looking good so far - very curious to see your progress. On the color...maybe it's because I've read The Hobbit about 87 times, but I vote for a nice deep red in honor of Smaug.

I'll have to show this to my wife....I did tell her one day I would try to make a fire breathing dragon prop.
I vote red as well....

That is fantastic! Anything planned for in the mouth? Also, it is my favorite color so I am partial, but an Orange dragon would go great with the season!
And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting

Very impressive. I used the stalloween method to build a dragon for my sons room. But not even half the size of that bad boy. Can't wait to see it when it is done. Amazing job creating your base.
