I would be interested to know what types of lights, foggers etc. everyone uses to set the atmosphere for your haunts. Does anyone use so many effects and sound sources that it requires a DMX controller or other type of control center? Thanks!

For fog I use a American Dj Fog Storm 1200 hd. This thing outputs enough fog to cover the world. I just have it go into a big tanks and then run hoses from the master fog tank to where it is needed.
For lighting I use a variety of things, the lights I have are as follows: ADJ DJ Scan 250 (2), Chauvet Color Splash Jr's (2), various clamp lights, and some mini spots.
For sound I use some home theatre amps with cheap component speakers I picked up on eBay. Everything is controlled from a small closet right inside my house next to the garage.
For the outside the lights I use are dmx and run off a cheap dmx lighting program on my computer. The lights, pneumatics, and other stuff is run off come old pcs with kit 74 s.

We are using DMX for the first time in our haunt this year. DMX will control about 16 LED can lights as well as activate relays that "press the play" button on a dvd player, "press the "manual" button on 3 foggers, turns on and off a wiper motor for an animated prop, turns on "ghostly footprints" and activates a pneumatic solenoid for a "puff of air".

I have the Chauvet 1700 and never thought of running multiple hoses. First year to try a chiller. That's a great idea! Nice setup! Thanks1
