the plane has crashed into a nursing home. Many injuries and about 9 fatalities. Lots of makeup to do but does anyone know how to build the nose of a plane and make it look realistic. Has this been done before? the aircraft is a double engine plane. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated![]()

How big do you want the nose to be? Might help with any answer I give.
We dont need a body bag, we need a bucket.............and a strainer.

God, not this again!
Flashback!!!!
This is exactly like one of the first post I saw when I joined almost last year. Someone did a realistic plane crash scene and many, like myself on this forum did think it was a sick ideal to do this.
Why, let me explain my opinion : Basing your haunt on a real dissaster that does actually happen to real people (just this week, close to my city, some people died in a small plane crash), that really effects many people who's life as been truly affected in the worst way possible, losing love ones, in my book, is just wrong. Not scary, not spooky, just wrong.
Again, this is my opinion, I will never understand why people think making a scenery like this is cool, I just don't know.
Halloween is about the supernatural, scary and spooky, not people dying in some crash...
(end rant)
I don't mean to be harsh, but.. plane crashes?? Anyway, everyone see the world differently.. Have fun!

I personally don't like it because a plane crash is pretty much just about gore, and Halloween isn't about gore to me, it's about spooky or scary.d

Have you been through the set at Universal Studios from War of The Worlds, it rocks...of course they used a real plane. Use PVC,heat and blue/pink foam.. it would not be not to hard to get the shape (of course a smaller version).
That would be an awesome set with some crashed open toxic barrels.

The movie that scared me to death as a kid was the old Twilight zone Nightmare at 20,000 feet...of course my kids laugh at it. I thought it would be cool to do a plane scene from that (but where the Gremlin wins)... my friend sculpted up a version of the remake. ...if I only had time.

While I tend to agree with Osenator and Moshrider in some ways I disagree. While I prefer the traditional "spooky" Halloween a lot of people go in for more of the gore aspect. "We" have props that promote serial killers real or imagined. A lot of setups have murder victims or suicide victims. We buy hacked up body parts from stores. We have scenes where blood is spattered all over the place. Even though these things are not considered disasters they are to those who it has happened too. I saw someones set up on here that just had hacked up bodies all over the place, bodies on crucifixs, stacked up bodie parts bodies bodies bodies....That was not in my taste, but he likes it, and as long as they are not real ones who cares. But I am sure that some people might be offended by his set up.
There was a discussion a while back about having someone hanging from a noose and thier concerns about what people would think. The majority of people on here said do it and dont worry about what other people thought. However, suicide by hanging is very popular and you have a better chance of effecting someone who has had a friend or relative see it than a plane crash but we still do it.
I havnt fully woke up yet so I hope I am making sense. Maybe if the plane crash was more of a post apocoliptic type set up than a blood and gore fest.
In the end, do what you want. Some people will agree others wont.We dont need a body bag, we need a bucket.............and a strainer.
