I saw that on the twilight movie (remake) very scary to me at the time.....

I saw that as a kid as well. I believe it was John Lithgow playing in the remake? That scared the crap out of me as a kid and I remember getting creeped out and was afraid I'd see that creature somewhere. lol It's cheesy to me now, but at the time it freaked me out.

As flightcrew myself and most of my family, I don't think a plane crash scenario is sick or in poor taste.

In fact we intend including a minor aircrash in next years 'decorations' using the tail of a light aircraft (which actually was involved in a crash), and a skeleton prop trying to drag himself out of the wreckage in full uniform!

Each to their own, I guess, but no need to pass judgement on someone elses interpretation of Halloween.

Do an internet search for free model airplane plans, and scale them up to the size you want. Also, some 3 view drawings have crossectons. Scale them up to 1:1, and build it out of sheet foam. Sculpt realistic damage, then fiberglass and paint it. You should also go take some pictures if the plane an an airport, so you can get the panel and rivit details.

Sheese. I hope we don't hear anymore negative judgments on someones ideas. Thinking of halloween on my street, someone is bound to be offended if they try hard enough to be that sensitive. Maybe a 911 scene would be risky but a setup like yours sounds creative and obviously has an angle that you are excited about. Carry on, and please send some pics of your progress.

I could see if it was like a play on the crazies or something, where the plane was carrying something that affected the local population with something that tied to a Halloween theme of some sort. I don't have a problem with plane crash scenario, just don't get the tie to the holiday. Ambitious though, hope it works out.

Don't know if any of you watched 3rd rock when it was out, but one of the best scenes was with William Shatner guest starred, and him and John Lithgow started comparing stories of creatures on the wings of their planes. I laughed hysterically, but I was the only one who got it. I love the original "Twilight Zones" it's my dream to have them all on Blu ray someday.

I saw some of 3rd Rock, but didn't know about William Shatner. I like those sort of 'in-jokes'. They are funnier because of their subtlety.

I wasn't a fan of that show (3rd Rock), but wish I'd seen that. Maybe, by a slim chance, I can find it on YouTube or the net somewhere. Sounds hilarious.
