I have completed my laser vortex and i'm not thrilled with the results. Using a green laser and a 1000 watt fog machine. It was a little windy but seemed to only show about 3 or 4 feet of the cone. is this a battery issue where I need to modify it with a power source?

Could be the wind, could be the angle of the laser, could be fog machine position.I Dont think it a battery issue.

They are touchy. If you're using it outside it may require more fog if you want more distance.
However if you overdo it the effect dies off as you only get the swirling when you have
the smoke actively mixing with fresh air. I built mine last year and didn't have time to test it for the big night. Too much smoke renders it worthless.
Take some time to play with the timer to find the right settings the night before.
