I was inspired with the genies in my video game tonight and I wanted to run my ideas by ya'll.

Using the flaming cauldron ideas, but flipping the flame to blow down instead of upwards.

Im thinking like this;

1. construct from the waist up a female (or male, mines gonna be a chick) body that is hollow and perhaps some opening in the back for air flow age.

2. Build the fan housing (not sure here if I would use a mini tabletop fan or computer fans for this- Help?)

3. attach LEDs to the fan mechanism and add Long strips of silky fabric, same as you would any other flaming cauldron but much longer and use Pinks, Purple and blue LEDS for a magical effect.

4. Make a gauzy (wedding tulle?) "skirt" that flows somewhat around the 'waist" part of the prop on down. Need this to billow around freely. Just to add another dimension on the overall effect.

5. Hang her in the air via fishing wire and use a FCG type rig to just move her lazily up and down? Or use the Boom mic type idea so she suspends? Ideas here?

Besides the ideas above, I thought to give her a belt hidden under her waist sash made of water and dry ice, maybe hide the holders of the water to look like waist sash ornaments or something, just to give a little fog to her.

Also getting LEDS to blink inside the silky flames? Just dangle the lights (with clear tubing)? Gotta figure out making simple/cheap blinky LEDs, make 3-4 of them at various lengths. That is if the silk flames wont get gummed up in them and stop flowing right.

Does this sound viable? Anyone with a large flaming silks able to test if it will billow down like genie wisps if held upside down?
