Does anyone know if scare factory produces their own skeletons? If not does anyone know where they buy them from? I really like the look of their skeletons but i can't find any like that on the web.

The manufacture their own mechanisms and latex props. They're unique, and created from a mold hand-sculpted of clay and foam-filled latex.

Perhaps they'd sell you just the skele's? I was looking hard at those skele's at Transworld. From what I can figure...they drop the pneumatic cylinders and actually the entire frame into the latex mold. So, the femur is literally part of the frame. The arms are cylinders. But they are surrounded with the foam mold of a skeleton. So, they are a bit squishy. Veddy cool.

Fright Theatre's skele's seemed to have the same feel as Scare Factory's. But, instead of the pneumatics inside, they have a steel rod frame: http://frighttheatre.com/catalog2/pr...products_id=32

I'm not sure but I think Unit 70 makes the same type of skeleton (detailed foam). Sure looks the same from the pictures. This is their Gary skeleton: http://products.unit70.com/products....ary&cat=&theme=

Here is a cheap and decent skeleton alternative... we used these at HOS in some of the houses.

Wal-Mart has a 5' skeleton on their website for $60. I ordered two. I hope they are good.

What happened to the tutorial "Skeleton Marrionette" where the poster showed a step-by-step how to make a skeleton? I had saved it as a favorite, but when I revisited it recently, it was changed to a spine only. That was an awesome post!

They look pretty good. The aging on them will wash off easily, so they should probably be hit with some scotch guard. Also, they could stand to be a little more durable because they seem like they'd break if handled roughly. But I'm happy with my purchase of two of them. I cannot find anything comparable near me.
