Hi I am wrapping up on programming my props and will share videos of them very soon. My question pertains to the audio in VSA. I only intend to use two scenes and will use separate speakers for each scene. When I load an audio file in VSA it gives you the option to "display" left or right channel. Does this mean it will play the sound in the left channel if I select left channel? Because the way I am reading it it says "display" I intend to use two wireless rock stereo speakers one speaker in the graveyard which will be the left channel and the other in front of the mad lab scene which will be the right channel. Will it work?

Not entirely sure if I've got the question right, but I'll take a stab. You've got two show areas, both of which you plan to run from the same VSA animation? Graveyard sound from the left channel of the audio, mad lab sound from the right channel - and different animation channels for each?
If this is what you're trying to do, sure it'll do it. The 'display' audio is just what the waveform shows. So, if you pick 'left', you won't be able to visually align animation cues for the mad lab scene. You could always toggle back and forth between which channel is displayed, to make animating that scene easier.
One other thing, though, VSA does support multiple audio devices. So you could just add a second 'sound card' (could be a USB audio adaptor) - and then you'd have stereo for both scenes. I remember testing this setup on my laptop - so I'm pretty sure it's doable - but I haven't used it in a haunt yet.
Hope this helps

Thank you Hook, yeah that is correct two separate scenes. To avoid any confusion I have routines for each scene. The graveyard scene I am using the displayed left audio channel and the mad lab scene I am using the right displayed audio channel.
again thanks,

The more I learn about computers, the more I realize how ignorant I am. I'm wondering what kind of flaming hoops you have to jump through to get windows to recognize two sound cards. I am using a computer that has built in sound and I have a PCI sound card. Windows only wants to recognize one so I install the drivers for the PCI card. Once you get two sound cards working, how do you get VSA to address different sound devices?

I think the OS still will only use one at a time (whichever you've picked as the 'default audio device'). However, VSA will let you pick which one you want. When you have multiple audio devices, they'll show up here...

Here you can add multiple audio files, and set up each one to go to a different device. I use a thumb-sized USB audio adaptor on my laptop (not this screenshot) for getting optical SPDIF out, and I don't recall having to do anything special to get it to work. Just installed the driver (if that?), and plugged it in.
