They should call it "takes half the damn day to connect"!

I just got my wiper motor from Monster Guts and have been trying in vain to connect it to the power supply with the quick connect. I read other threads here where the advise was just to use brute force but I guess maybe I'm just not the brute I thought I was . No matter how hard I try, I just can't get the spade terminals to go on and stay connected. Any brilliant advice?

I found that the spade connectors are a pretty tight fit on those motor terminals. Use a thin bladed screwdriver to open them up a bit and they'll go right on. If you open them too much, just squeeze gently with pliers to close them a little. One other thing - it's easy to miss the terminal and slide the spade next to, but not on, the terminal.

I had this problem too. The connection kept coming off when I moved the prop so it was taunt. Or I needed to swap the motor and the spade ripped from the wire trying to remove them. Leaving me to wire strip and recrimp. I hate doing things more the once so I ripped all the housing around the spade terminals and soldered them on. Probably the best way to do it. I just have a molex connector hanging down so it's easy to swap out. I only use computer power supplies for my motors anyway.

OK! My husband came home and was able to get the things shoved in place! Yay!
Then I hooked it up and discovered a problem in the power supply (also from Monster Guts). If you touch the two connectors together the motor starts but if you push it all the way on, it doesn't seem to get power at all. So I guess I'll be attempting to return that. Meanwhile, I dig through my junk and find that I already had one I could have used. I really should take inventory of all the junk I've collected before I pay for anything else.
