I have one of those full size pincher coffins (pre-made) of cardboard. If I want to display this outside should I do anything to it?
would using a coat of water proofing ruin it? THX.

    Hello Creepyspiders in Frisco !
Waterbased would be out, there are lacquer based sprays cans you can use to help seal paper type stuff. Check out a Michael's art store.
On Market there's a pretty big art store Dick Blick 969 Market off of 6th & Markets,( Used to be Pearl 979 Market ) I got a lot of my stuff when it was Pearls.

a porch so no direct rain just concerned about fog moisture. don't want a pile of moist moldy cardbaord!

Also, lay your 1st 2 coats on thin (dustcoats) so they don't cause any probs, heavy 1st coat can warp it. after a couple of "tack" coats, let that set up for 15 min or so, then after that a lil heavier - not too heavy - coat(s) will set on top of the "tack" coats. & give each coat some "flash" time to allow the solvents to air out before next coating.......
