This year I'm going to be incorporating pneumatics for the first time. I will have 3-4 props. The compressor will likely be located in my back yard to try to cut down on the sound when it re-fills. I'm wondering whats the best method to runs lines to my props in the front yard? Should I run one rubber hose to the garage area and then split off to each prop with rubber hoses like this?

Or can I use some type of manifold at the split point and use smaller polyurethane hoses like I use right on each of my props?

Also, can anyone recommend a manifold to use if I'm going to be running 4 props?

    Thanks!

I usually do it this way

Main compressor--->100 feet 3/8 air hose---->manifold(which ever amount you want 3,5,8 etc---->25 feet 3/8 hose on each port you use---->storage tank--->regulator---->solenoid---->1/4 air tubing from solenoid to cylinder.

Sometimes in a pinch I'll run 1/4 tubing in a long run but I tend to stay away from 1/4 tubing until I reach the solenoid.

Oh yeah you probably will need plugs for the coupler. Usually the coupler has 3 openings so you will have to plug 2 of them. Home Depot sells 1/4 plugs for .50 found in the plumbing section. If you go this route.

Sweet...that's exactly what I need! No wonder I couldn't find it since its listed as a coupler. I got a Harbor Freight about 10 minutes from my house. Crazy thing is I have never been to Harbor Freight :P
