I picked one up last year for 50% off. I want to use it this year. One question. Will it flash the the same using sound effects instead of music? I want to use the Halloween theme song , but I was wondering how it would work with scream and things of that nature. Has any one tried this? How did it work? Thanks.

Are you referring to the lighting fx box? I tried one last year, with lights strung through a lot of pumpkins. It worked well with music, the tots loved it. It seems to react to volume, the louder the music or noise, the more it reacts. You can also adjust it's sensitivity. The lights will go off/on, brighter or fainter according to how much noise it picks up. I'm going to try a second box this year with a thunderstorm CD, which should be an interesting experiment!
