I found this at spirit's thought it was kinda cool. I saw a set at TW many years back and have never seen it again. Wasn't this one but I so regret not buying it.

My family has a chess set that was my dad's. Not quite as elaborate, but it was interesting the white pieces were made from brass that was taken from cartridge casings fired by the Nationalist Chinese and the black pieces were lead taken from recovered bullets from the Communist Chinese during the Chinese Civil War.

I thought I saw that at Spencers at one time, or something like it. Hmm? But it's very nice, though I can't play chess to save my life...lol

i saw that too and tought it was cool for a manor theme display wonder if they will carry them in stores as well ...

WOW! i THINK I may buy this and custom paint the figures. I am a professional miniature painter and I think this could be a very cool looking chess set with a little work. Thank you for posting this.

I don't play chess, But that is nice looking. Will keep my eye out for it "in person' if the quality is decent I may have to buy this an learn chess ! thanks for posting.
