I use the cheap clamp on reflector lights from Home Depot and Lowes.
I paint the outside of them with flat black paint and then hide them the best that I can. I use the black light CFL's and they actually work pretty good for prop lighting like a Flying Crank Ghost. because the outside is black, after dark they disappear quite well.

split loom tubing works great. wrap it around the bulb, or like I do, around ropelight, and cut away some material to let the tight shine through.

ask for black corrugated plastic tubing to organize wires, that you can buy in 6 foot lengths at Home depot.
