I would like to use scene setters on my garage door this year. I've never tried this and was hoping someone here had, and could give me, some tips on how to do it. Just looking at the door and how it "breaks into section" when you raise it I would think I would have to cut the scene setter into strips and apply it that way. Any help or advice?

How about using the 3M remountable adhesive? Basically it makes it like a big ol' post it note. Test it first however and the surface should need to be clean.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

The only advice I can give you is to get as flat as possible. I have done it in the past and if you don't get it right, a good storm will balloon it up and off!

I googled and there are several products out there. This is one website I saw www.mydoordecor.com (disclaimer- not promoting it just using it as an example)

I did this:

with a Scene Setter a few years ago. I had to tape two 4' strips together to get the height I needed. Put plenty of weight, like some 2X4's, along the bottom to hold it down. If you live in a windy area, this may not work for you unless you can stick the Scene Setter directly to the door. It's the edges that are the most vulnerable to the wind - if you can seal the borders it should work fine.I...have many names...

Some scene setters look much more realistic than others. You should try to put them only on a black surface, because you can see through onto brighter surfaces. Also, to make them look their best, keep them flat! Hope that helped...

Otaku that looks great. I did't do scene setters on mine but I did this. I have to do it last when I know that no one is going to use the garage. Looks better when it is dark with the green spot on it.
