What is the best way to hide extention cords that are on the floor in the garage and on the ground outside?

Also what is the best way to hide a fog machine that will be in my front yard for the graveyard scene?

we use 2 industrial foggers in our haunt and hide them in our mausoleum with tubing running throughout the yard. Try to find an excluded space and run tubing from the fogger.

As far as extension cords we use ball black cords and try to tuck them in crevices, cover with rugs, or black tape!

letting your grass grow for 2 months before Halloween helps.... hehehe

if that is not feasible, use green or black cords as mentioned. Another good way to keep them down is to use those landscaping staples for pinning down weed block.. They keep the cords flat and in place. You can usually get them in bags of 50 or 100 at your local home improvement/garden center.

I spread a little bit of hay over the yard, and just a little heavier over the cords. Look pretty natural. Leaves also become an ally in October.

Hmm... never thought about it, but extension cords could be a tripping hazard. If they are outside, you could bury them. NOT real deep. Just take a spade or garden shovel, stick it in the ground and wiggle it enough to create a crevice, do this in a straight line, then push the cord into the ground, and voila. In the garage, you could use duct tape. Just tape them down to the floor.

I usually cover the cords with landscape cloth, then cover the landscape cloth with leaves & branches.

I use dark green and brown cords and all is fine during the day and no issue at all at night. And in a pinch, you can snip up wire hangers for ground stakes. Snip them to the length you want, bend into a U, stick in the ground. I do this wherever I think there might be a tripping problem. I don't run cords across anyones path, but sometimes the people themselves get away from you and roam where they shouldn't.

Letting the grass grow is what I do... any excuse not to mow eh? LOL

I use the green cords using tent stakes to anchor them here and there. The green blends in nicely.

Yeah but the landscape staples do nothing to hide the wires, which was the op's question.
