I finished making the wood body of my witch prop today, now i have to make the head and then add cloths and other details. Any ideas on the head construction?

I have been making pape-rmache and it is working pretty well. Roll newspaper up into an oval ball the size of a head () put that into a plastic bag from the grocery store, masking tape it all together, and wrap with wet mache( I have a recipe if your interested). You leave the bottom (neck) and where the eyes & nose are open. The chin part is piece of stiffer paper taped to the bottom and it looks like a chin guard only soild, on football helmet and mache that. Now you have a skull, add some attic insulation to your mache and you can form eye sockets or whatever. Let dry a day + pull out the paper from the inside and volia you have a skull. Now its ready for paint or corpsing

I just finnished a witch. I used a walmart skull and took a piece of hose(water hook up for washer). Cut about a 4inch piece. I then inserted the metal hook up into the nose area. It was a perfect fit. With a little mache it looked like a perfect big nosed witch face.
