Does anyone else use more than one sound system in their haunt?

We use one under a table at the end of the driveway playing a CD with several creepy tunes on it. A Boom Box in the Front Porch plays "This is Hallowe'en" while the kids collect their treats. And a third system (Massive Sound) is inside the scare room. This year, we're doing a Mad Scientist's Lab, so we're playing Thomas Dolby's "She Blinded Me With Science" at low level while the crowd watches the Scientist at work. When the Monster breaks his chains, the sound pumps right up and the track switches to the Shower Scene from "Psycho".

I will probably have 3 or 4 this year. I have one for background sound, one for lightning, and will add one for a puking zombie and one for eerie cemetery sounds.

i use my home theater sound system in the yard playing a long ambient loop track at high volume. i use my pc in the office for haunted mansion bells and wolf during halloween day (setup) on the roof. then at night the pc usually has a hacked keboard button hooked up to it to pla a sound qued in soundforge. this year i have another computer at my disposal.

I dont have one yet, I was thinking crows and owls, and whispers.

I currently use the cemetery track from sinistersonics for general background noise.

I use two. One for atmosphere and one for the thunder and lightning machine.

I use TONS....This year I will have 5-Boo Boxes, 2-Boo Flexes ,1 cowlacious designs, 2-Ipods and a PC.....That doesn't count the organ that plays for real (not speakers but air moving through the reeds)...Most of them are quick scare/PC Speaker type deals....But will also have a few better systems in place in key areas.....ZR

I'm using a few compact cd players and speakers this year. Some will actually trigger props that are sound activated when the speaker is close enough. This will help keep things alive all around the display. A simple thunder track can do the trick.

My tracks are all custom, looped, and played only in stereo. I mix where all the ambient sounds (wind, thunder, etc.) are all both speakers, but specific sounds come only from each channel placed appropriately at the props i.e. owl, cat on right... witch, cauldron, on left.

Been thinking of wireing speakers to permenantly keep up behind my sophet vents when it cools off.

I have a recent "boombox" system running the main music. 8 computer speaker type systems running the pneumatics and outdoor speakers running the graveyard sounds...mostly zombies moaning and wood breaking.

I need sounds coming from moving props to be local. Doesn't make sense to have them coming off of one pair so I use these speakers which sound amazing and the price is great.

At last count I use 7 sound systems of various sizes and purpose. A huge pro system is set up in the yard playing background that beckons to the TOTs and parents as much as a block away. A small pro amp for the gate greater's microphone. This is wireless so he can follow prey all over the haunt. An old panasonic surround sound system for our fog room. It gives a whisper track, sort of like someone following you throughout whispering in your ear but no one beside you. My home surround sound/ theater system in the house for background shift from the yard. Four small computerized speaker systems on various props such as our coffin jumper, trash can trauma, crypt breakout, and witches cauldron. I guess that is 8 instead of 7. Sorry about that.

Our haunt is spread out over a rather large area. It is a nightmare to decorate but allows for at least some segregation of individual displays and their sound needs.

Unfortunately our haunt sometimes resembles an amusement park more than a haunted attraction.
