    Hi Everyone,

I need some help in making some easy and cheap 9 to 10 ft. high black fabric/plastic walls.

I usually have been putting large plastic up against the posts on our side porch so I can block out our street light across the street to be able to use black lighting. As you can see on the left in the pic below.

This year I would like to stretch out the side porch into the yard so I can set up my new Mad Scientist Lab withing the black lighting but I have no clue how to make a wall to do this.

Here is a pic of the area I am working with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. This would also need to stand up to some of the high winds here in Omaha.
First year I put up that plastic 3 days before Halloween and it tore it to shreds the next day.

Well you could lay a 2 x 4 on the grass and screw a couple 2x2's onto it vertically oriented. Then take another 2 x 2 and screw in the top for the top of the wall. Drill a hole in the end of the 2x2 closest to the pillar and tie the
2x2 around the pillar with twine. You could have another 2x2 upright next to the pillar as well and tie the whole thing around the pillar. That way you wouldn't have to make any holes in the pillars. I think the 2x4 base is stable enough.
    Estimated cost:
3-4 2x2's per wall (8ft long) $1.65 each from Home Depot
2 2x4's are less than $3 for an 8 foot long piece
A handful of wood screws and some twine-maybe a few dollars
    HTH

Thanks for the idea. I think I can get my neighbor, who just happens to do carpentry for a living, to make me up 3 of those.

Also, What material should I use for covering? I would like to set this up the Friday before but am afraid of the wind tearing it apart.
