Recently i set up a thread discussing must have props in a graveyard scene.
Must have props in a graveyard scene (HELP)
There were lots of great ideas but what seemed to pop up most was the need for a coffin. So i set to work and now i have my coffin. At this point it is painted black but i plan to change that later on.
Susan from creepy hollow suggested that i set up a small mausoleum where i could control lighting, sound etc . thanks Susan![]()
But as i don't have enough room for a mausoleum, i thought why not use the coffin instead.
As well as storing speakers and perhaps some other effects in the coffin i would like it to hold a fog machine, but where do you think i should have the fog coming from ? (the side of the coffin or, perhaps one end or, from all sides of the coffin.)
If you have any other ideas for what i could store in the coffin then please post them or if you have any completely different ideas for what the coffin could be used for then please post them.
thanks

Looking Good, I would build a hand & arm reaching out. I wouldn't cut a hole in what you have
I would cut a few jagged pcs & put them around the elbow of the arm & just stick it on top of say the right side, then you could use them together or on thier own.

Thanks BooBoo the only problem with the arm idea is that the coffin doesn't have a door, what you are looking at in the picture is infact the bottom of the coffin.
what do you mean by jagged pcs ?
thanks

Hi Phil,
Here is a rough sketch, the Arm could be arm ground breaker on it's own or put it on top of the coffin & it would look like someone is buried alive or vamp breaking out of a nailed shut coffin. Jagged Pcs, just cut some rough pcs of what you made the coffin out of & place them around to hide the base of the arm. Doing it in two parts will keep you from making ahole in the coffin but still getting the look. Sorry I can be very unclear.

Nice one Phil - I intend making one of those fog chiller coffins too as it's a great effect. Keep us posted with pics or, even better, a video once you've finished it.
