Hey everyone,
Last year I did the fake electric chair prop. I built an electric chair with a fog machine and remote control. When I clicked the wireless remote, it would turn on strobes, fog, and sound. My friend sitting in the chair would pretend he was a pneumatic dummy, and when I turned the prop off, he would go limp... wait 5 seconds then jump up.
It was fantastic! We had about 200-250 TOTs last year and they all loved it! Some didn't even come up the driveway, they were too scared because of the previous group running and screaming.
So, with such a success, I'm coming up blank for a new prop for this year. I think the electric chair will be just as successful.
I'm thinking I need to do something down at the end of the driveway to scare those TOTs who don't come up the driveway. I was thinking a Monster in a Box, but thought that'd be too low key and not even noticed - purely based on how successful the electric chair was.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Your electric chair may be hard to top but I like the idea of the MIB - did you see INDY's take on a clever (and inexpensive) version of it? Perhaps a small strobe light on the MIB will give it a more eerie effect? I think the unknown, or what's in the box, always freaks the TOTers out!
Is it Halloween yet?

Do you have a roll out dumpster trashcan that gets collected in your neighborhood? You can make some really fun and scary props with that, if you do.

Have a person in costume just stand there and then move. Simply but it gets them every time.
