I have been debating buying one of these for a long time and haven't for the purpose of clean up. I know of at least 2 types... the one that needs a power drill and has the fan, the other needs an air compressor I believe.
Has anyone used either of these?
    Did you like the results?
How hard was it to clean up in general, like off bushes and siding?
Can they be removed from static props once the big night is over without gooey lasting effects?

I have been using the cheapy bagged stuff( I hate it) but you can actually get a good effect if you take your time and are careful about the stretching.
All webbing would be outdoor, nothing inside the house, but I don't want my props to be ruined with webbing should i need to remove them after for a different set up.
    Advice would be great

I use the one with a compressor and a hot glue gun.
It is a little messy cleaning it up. I suggest spraying it on your props only.
It is not that sticky once it dries but it does get tangled up it stuff.
Dont spray it on anything nice and definitely keep it away from your good carpet.
It will stick to carpet and cloth if it gets close while it is still hot!!!
It does make for some great cobwebs though.
Plan on using a lot of glues sticks. I use the ones that glow in the dark.

I bought one last year, and it didn't end well. I guess I have too small of a compressor tank because it couldn't keep up with enough airflow to spray the webs. Maybe I wasn't doing it right, but I had to wait over and over for the tank to air up. Plus, you have to let the gun heat up well enough to melt the glue sticks. I have a small 2 gallon air tank if any of this helps you decide.
If at first you don't suceed.... drink another beer!

I have both styles.. I started with a webcaster gun and ended up buying one of the bigger minions web ones which i absolutely love.

The drill one uses rubber cement so if you use this style you get light airy webs however.. You will not get this off anything that it gets onto so plan for a permanent webbing..

The compressor based hotglue webbers work quite well as long as you allow them to reheat and have a good stream of air . If you are webbing a large area you can prerun some fishing line to get it to catch onto.. Last year was the first year with the big minions webber and it worked sooo much better than my webcaster gun . I think this is due ot the fact that its a higher heat gun so the cold weather of october didnt have much of an impact on it whereas the other one i spent alot of time waiting for it to reheat..

I had many compliments on the webbing on the skeletons and the "tree" i setup in the yard .

So for all intents and purposes - once you shoot the webs on something...its there to stay.
Wow, that kinda stinks. Thanks all for the comments though and advice.
Guess I will stick with my crappy Bag O Webs lol ...at least they can be removed once your done. I guess I feel the same way about using one of these guns to permanently web something as I do to corpse a bucky... they are so expensive I would probably faint if I destroyed it somehow like a messed up corpsing. I'll stick to blucky's

Crap. I was going to use it in my garage and on all of the HOA's bushes in my walkway. Thanks for the head's up.

    Has anyone tried this way?

Since i forgot to mention about the "stickiness " of the hot glue i figured i would mention it .

The hot glue comes off rather easily from "most" surfaces.. However anything that has a an open weave such as fabric and such it would definitely stick to but you could also throw the web from much further away so by the time it hits the surface the glue has pretty much hardened.. I would definately test before hitting.

You basically just rub your hands over it and it balls up and comes off with a little effort.. Anything else you take a lil ice to and you can get it .
