Okay so I have a wiper motor. I am converting a power supply to power it. I was going to do the grave stone peeper prop that is popular. But this year I was going to add 2 or 3 zombies to my cemetery ( I love Zombies ). I bought a couple masks to use on PVC frames. Now I am thinking of a way to animate a full size PVC zombie using the wiper motor. I was thinking of mounting the figure on a round piece of wood. And then mounting 3 or 4 small wheels on the bottom of the wood. Then I would put that on top of another piece of wood with some kind of pin in the middle to rotate around. Then use the motor to turn the top piece back and forth. So it would have a side to side rotating action. I would put the arms out like a zombie. I hope that description was clear. It is just a loose idea rolling around right now. Any thoughts or has any one seen any thing like this before? The figure shouldnt be too heavy and the wheels will give it an easy motion for the motor to push. I hope. Any comments are appreciated.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Is it going to be just the upper half of a zombie on the wood (like a grave grabber)?

might be easier if you made him rotate at the waist ? Using something like a lazy susan bearing that could handle the offset weight. You could build your upper body out of pvc. You could attach the lower half to a base and it would probably make the whole thing more stable ? just a thought....

How about something like these that I've built:

You can get the idea of how it works from my prototype video:

Xpendable that is great. Someone else showed me one they built in a similar way. I am very interested. If I built some sort of solid lower half and that on top it would be perfect. I doesnt look too hard for me to do. Thanks for the info and idea. I hope you dont mind that I use your idea. And the other guy that sent me the PM. Thanks as usual to all. This is my favorite forum on the web. Everyone is great to deal with. Thanks.

I have one question though Xpendable. What voltage did you use for the wiper motor? I am converting a computer PS now. It will have a 5v and 12v set up. What did you use? I really like the speed of yours a lot. Thanks.
