When it comes to starting a prop - one never knows how things will develop when you have an overactive imagination, big hopes and little money. So it is always interesting to see if anyone on Craig's List is offering something you can use...
And so it went yesterday when me and my hubby MysterE went on a little adventure. I had no idea what was in store...The conversation went something like this:
You have a "Prop surprise for me? And we have to drive an hour to get it? And you found it on Craig's List? And you say it is in this guys back yard? But I don't see anything... Are you SURE you have the correct address? And what are we looking for anyway dear?

"Look up you say... waaay up... Look up? OMG! You have GOT to be kidding me!! Really!!?!!

Only $20 bucks!!??!! If we can take it down... oh... well... huh?"

Yep -- he's THE MAN!! 2010 Halloween (outdoor) Theme begins --

ALIEN SPACESHIP CRASHES IN CINCINNATI!! ALIENS ESCAPE!!

    I love my MysterE!

    Nothing like aiming high!

One wonders what you'll come up with! But I like the idea.

I wish my wife was as laid back as you are about things!! So I make a little mess here & there - it's not a crime is it???

You must keep us updated as to what you do.

One question though - what are you going to do with that after halloween i.e., do you have storage or are you going to have to get shot as no space?

    Hallow Phil!

I am hoping that we can locate the Mother Ship and help them return to their home world... Otherwise - they and their craft shall have to reside on Earth - rolled behind our shed - and covered with a boat tarp.

I think you're both what we call over here "not quite the ticket" or "a chip short of a butty" - just plain nuts!!

But I like it - you're very much like me in the way that you think, but I have a being "not of this earth" (wife) keeping me in check. Don't get me wrong, I love her to bits, but I have always thought that our extra-terrestrial cousins ought to perhaps select her for a trip away from home for a while - say pop her back in early November?

I've seen on the pneumatics thread what you're intending to do. It sounds like a big job but if you can pull it off it would be amazing.

You've got me thinking though - just what is under the tarps you see on farms when driving through the country?? I always thought it was hay or old machinery!!

And people waste their time trying to get into Area 51...........................
