Has anyone used DVD's from ATMOS FEAR FX or Hi-Rez Designs?

Just wondering what the products are like or how they were used in the haunt.

They look good, but they're quite expensive. Have you tried or heard of Hallowindow? I've been using them for the last two years and everybody loves them.

Yes I bought Hallowindow last year. It's great for projection system.

I wanted to build a fake door with a window, place an old monitor in the window hole and then run an video that appeared to look like something that's happening on the other side of the door.

The videos from those companies are kind of aimed at that.

I think it would add an interesting dimension to the haunt.

Any thoughts?

Are you thinking of going for the Lunatic's Lightning one? that's a pretty awesome effect pity they're so pricey.

I think 'TerrorVision' might be worth a try. It is expensive though.

That kind of effect is outside of my ability to duplicate on my own.

I'm not sure if you've seen these.. They're releasing one called Zombies window breaker.

I've used Hallowindow a couple years when they 1st came out, Looking forward to using Hi-rez's vids, he just came out with his this year, so this would be the 1st year for his to be used - i have all sets he sells at this time until he releases more - just acquired "windowcreeps" (similar to Hallowindow, i posted link to it earlier thread ) priced at $20 for download, I have a few others that I've used before. ToTers love them so far. Most haven't seen what we all know about, so the average crowd is wow'd ! All in all, the vid thing is becoming more popular when added to a haunt !

& I've seen too many that are way too hi, $ 250-750. for 20 sec !?! Hi-rez's for the price of actors.special effects,etc costs, 50-60 for a vid like his I fell is more than fair,his last one had 4 scenes.
Actually I think Hallowindows & Windowcreeps is pretty cheap considering the time to animate & plug in sound effect.

There is also Twisted Ambience, has a couple good ones.

I was actually duplicating this effect last year in Adobe Flash, but never finished because I couldn't get any actors to portray the silhouetted figures.

It is a cool effect though! All of their dvds are awesome!

Hi-Rez has one that looks really good. It's the graveyard one with the rising spirits. It would look really amazing projected against the side of a house. ToTers would be able to see if from a block away! Also, if you had a screen or wall of some sorts at the back of a graveyard scene, it would make a neat backdrop. It's a little pricey for me, though.

I wish I had money to spend on The Nurse Escape from Hi Rezdesigns. That looks so cool!!!! Maybe next year!
