For a static display, I wanted a natural looking scarecrow to go into my lost woods graveyard. I was inspired by the look of Pumpkinrot's Bogman. I wanted to make it look more fitting for the woods when I was walking through Home Depot today and it hit me, I got a bag of pine bark. I am gluing it to a wig head and I am loving it. The pins you see are just the drying pieces.

I would love some ideas on what to do with the eyes and mouth, trying to keep it natural. Also, I am not sure if I am going to use long moss for the hair. or layered leaves. I will most likely do the whole in in the bark to keep it balanced.

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting

That will look creepy at night. How are you going to light her? The eyes will have to be on the brighter side since she is so dark.I like the moss idea for her hair. I think the moss will give a little more of a creepy factor than the leaves. Eyes?? brighter rocks maybe? then paint the eye on the rock? idk, just a thought. I usually just lurk and admire the awesome stuff people come up with. Dan

I am not sure how she will be lit. I would LOVE to figure out how to make it look like fireflies lighting up her eyes and mouth

Fireflies. Blinking led's maybe.Or those christmas lights that fade in and out. That would be good then her eyes and mouth would stand out good.
