I'm not overly thrilled with this, I mean I really like it and all but it is not as good as others I've seen. I'm looking for advice. I know I will adjust the arms so they are more down and I will of course add hands and a candy bag and sucker but I guess I want to know if I should redo his mask and make it with a darker burlap? and maybe not make the stitches on his mouth so close together.
sorry hee hee forgot to post the picture

Not bad at all, a very respectable looking sam. You could maybe trim the hood a bit and maybe make the stitches farther apart and less of them, but i think he looks very good, nice work.

I agree w/the darker/dirtier burlap thing. And wasn't Sam's head bigger, sorta oversized for his body?

Okay, I took his head apart and pulled the mouth stitches and tried muddying/tea staining the burlap (side note, burlap really rinses clean) after it dries I'll go about putting him back together.

I had some leftover brown dye that I put into a spray bottle and sprayed all over his jammies. It dulled down the brite orange felt I used to make them. My biggest problem is people don't know who he is and when they see what he is supposed to look like under the burlap they think I should use THAT face. Sorry but he didn't look like that thru MOST of the movie and you can't get that perfect round head with a pumpkin
