Thread: Themed Areas/Rooms

I'm thinking of doing a few new "rooms" this year...possibly a Spider Room and Clown Room.

I was wondering what other types of areas to add... So, what themed areas/rooms do you have in your haunts?

I found a few cool props that are Egyptian and was wondering how these could be used. I know that I have read of some doing these on a small scale and then there are the big sphynx that ? (sorry forgot who made it). I have seen people post pics of some props from this area. But, how do you use them.

I am going all witches and cemeteries and some visiting ghouls and ghosts this year, but there is always next year.... I couldn't pass up the items.

We usually do rooms also, texas chainsaw room, clown room, black light 3-d
room, hanging heads room, electricutioner room.

The new room this year is the industrial room, we are making a steam pipe hallway that will have misters and air coming out of the pipes along with a barrel spitter prop and toxic waste garbage cans.

I like doing rooms that gives eye candy when you walk in and a scare before you leave....You could make a couple walls out of foam and carve the egyptian "writing" on them....Throw up camo netting for vegetation growth...A couple silk flame torches...You could make a tomb that a mummy jumps out of for the scare...Or a snake scare maybe?.....ZR

I do haunted mansion/cemetery every year so the theme isn't changing....First room is ghost host greeting room- fireplace, skeleton holding lantern,gag studios - knight/armour....I need to make a base for the knight that has an air cylinder for the scare....I'm using skulltronix "ghost host" routine...When he says "you may now enter the haunted mansion, if you dare" I'm going to program the cylinder to slam into the base for a bang which will cause the knight to shake a little....The next room is more like a hallway...Clock, spirit radio, ghoul standing in corner, couple portraits down the hall with organ at other end of hall.....Clock door flies open when you enter the hall that has a skull that laughs with the dong sound of the clock....Organ plays at the other end....Next you enter the seance room...Block window. skulltronix behind table with crystal ball, book of the dead, bookcase,etc...Organ stops playing as seance begins...Blast of air with the scream.....Down another hall that goes to the cemetery part.....That's the rooms part of my haunt planned for this year.....ZR
