Its gonna be like every year in the past for me this year. I'll be working on props till at least Mid October.
"...And out of the darkness, the Zombie did call
True pain and suffering he brought to them all
Away ran the children to hide in their beds,
for fear that the devil would chop off their heads..."

WOO HOO! Great pictures!
I love seeing all my props for the first time of the year in boxes! I usually wait until the first or second week of September to get my stuff out...

We've been working on our stuff since February. For once, it looks like we are ahead of schedule. We have even been spending time bullet proofing the animatronics so instead of spending Halloween trying to fix things that have broken down we can actually relax and enjoy all of the little visitors. I even set up a backup computer today just in case Windoze takes a dump on us (our recurring nightmare). VSA controls almost everything in our haunt.

My stuff is still stored away, and I probably won't get it out until mid September, at least to sort through it. While I know what all is there, it's always fun to pull out the totes and dig through them. I've got all I can handle in the garage right now, and hope to finish up the big stuff by the end of September.

I can't wait to haul mine out...we have a storage unit though that is full of our Halloween stuff so we can't haul everything at once or I would have no where to work in the garage! lol But I want to badly to remember all the stuff I have and how to incorporate it into the new themes for this year.

I'll start immediately after Labor day decorating the inside, every year it is like christmas all over again, you get to go through the boxes and go OOH, I forgot about that and get all warm and fuzzy feeling inside again. Then I start my yard 1st weekend of OCT. same applies here too. I have pretty much finished my big projects, doing small stuff here and there waiting for the big day to get started.........................
Don't throw that out, I can make that into a......................

On Monday I pulled out all my bulbs, fixtures, controllers and light strings that I have amassed over the year to start testing things out. At breakfast on Tuesday my Fiance asked "Um. What is all this stuff doing in the living room?" I guess it was too early for her. So everything is back in the garage now. Fortunately she doesn't care what i do in there as long as she can get to the pet food and the washing machine/dryer.
I did learn a valuable lesson. My automatic sprinklers came on while i was testing my blacklight flood lights in the backyard. One of the bulbs must have exploded when i was inside because when i came back outside, it was dark and I couldn't see the light bulb, so I foolishly stuck my hand in the socket and shocked myself. Blacklights + sprinklers = not good.

What I pull out will depend if I am doing a party or just the display outside, but it will wait until the 1st weekend of October
Its so nice to be insane, no one asks you to explain...

My hubby won't let me take anything out of storage right now.
I already have the things I've been working on strewn about the house though. I think I'm going to start the inside mid September and the outside October 1st. It's hard to wait!!
