Hi all,
Ordered some masks online to be used as prop heads. Wanted to fill them with (A/B) polyfoam or off the hardware shelf insulation expending foam. Ideally, one would put them in the mold they were made to hold the shape while the foam expanded and hardened. Since I don't have the molds, any recommendations about which foam to use and a way to hold the mask in shape from the outside while the foam cures so it doesn't distort the mask's shape? Anyone tried this before?
Thanks!!

I usually just stick a foam wig head in the mask and stuff it with paper or similar to fill out any "caved" in spots

beauty supply shops usually have them for less than that but if you look on like for them you can find some places too that can ship them but that may wind up costing the price you already had
Try Craigslist & Ebay

Also, Hobby Lobby has them (male and female).
Here's a picture of using a foam head, batting and some duct tape for a mask:

Try Sally Beauty Supply... If you join their discount club you not only get a discount on the heads your purchasing at the time your joining the club they also give you a $5 discount on your next purchase. I had a few strange looks when I bought 12 heads and then came back the next month and purchased a few more.

I use the foam wig head and plastic grocery bags to fill in the gaps. You can purchase wigheads fairly cheap here.
