Thread: Source For Cheap Potion Bottles

Strolling through the Dollar Tree store yesterday and came accross these "Stacker 2 Java Shot Energy Drinks". They come in a four inch high, 3 fl oz. plastic bottle and cost $1 for two . The taste is God awful but the bottle is way worth the cost.

First of all its crystal clear plastic and has virtualy no mold seam. A screw top cap so you can keep "Liquid" nice and secure. Because its plastic it will take paint and glue well and can be sanded with little effort. They will also hold a label well.

The best part besides the cost (.50 each) is its sturdiness. My four year old picked one up off our table and when I made a motion toward her to take it away, she bolted through the house, tossing it behind her as she ran. It hit the floor hard but with no shattered glass to clean up I just laughed.

For our party this year I'm thinking about making some "potion" bottles attached to a base as kids costume contest prizes. I'll feel better about handing them out since they'll be plastic "The Mummy get's the second place trophy, Eye of Newt"

Nice idea, I've been picking up "neat" bottles at Surplus stores but they are all glass and won't work for a party favor all that well. Were there any varying sizes in the Java bottles?

I didn't see any other sizes at the store I purchaced these at, however with these type of "shot" drinks your not suposed to down a whole buch at once so most are in smaller type bottles.
