I am new to this site, so I hope this is where I post this, please excuse my newness.
Anyway, I am going to try and use clay to make skeleton hands and feet. My queston is what kind? I am not an artist and do not have a way to fire potters clay. I saw air dry at Hobby lobby but was worried it would be brittle. Any help would be most appreciated.

I had my first attempt at celluclay just recently. By know means will my stuff be displayed anywhere but it was easy to use. All you have to do is let it dry...I made a hand, didnt turn out that great but it is useable.
This is a head I made...second attempt..
We dont need a body bag, we need a bucket.............and a strainer.

BeaconSamurai uses Crayola Model Magic for his skeleton hands: Animatronic Zombie Butler Build
I've used the stuff for most of my creature faces. It's not perfect, but for this type of thing, it works nicely.

I second model magic. It has some issues, but is great for a quick form. You may need to coat it with something to harden it up, however. I like to brush mine with mod podge.

I've got to try Sculpy. Sounds great!
I like Model Magic too for quick hands. Here's a skeletal hand:

Thanks guys for all the advice and the great pictures. I ended up using sculpt it was a great buy for the price and amount. when it said it could be drilled once dried I felt it would be a good option, solid not brittle.
thanks again
