Well, after a mix up in shipping, a dozen or so wiring tutorials on YouTube, and some drilling - It's finally done (well, the lighting part that is).
YouTube- My haunted cathedral radio
It's a reproduction cathedral/tombstone radio with the guts removed, except for the parts that hold all of the knobs on, a hauntmaster fright-lite 500, and a simple light socket & 40w bulb that I bought at my local do-it center.
Eventually I will be wiring it up with a small speaker and some sort of mp3 player so that I can run sound through it. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten that far yet. Locating small powered speakers has proven to be a more difficult task than I thought.
Anyhow, enjoy!
Oh, by the way, the song is "Requiem for a Vampire" by Matt Fink.

ooooh. Nifty! I like it!
I've got one of those (okay, it's the hubby's) that we have out during our party turned on but with the volume down. Your radio is much cooler!

Reminds me of the radio I got @ Spirit last year only yours is more realistic....Whenever I need small powered speakers, I just use a set of PC speakers.....You could always take them apart to fit the components inside the radio if you had to...Great job so far and I like your video technique too!....ZR

I like it.
Years ago I started a haunted radio prop that I never finished. For the sound I was going to record the sound you hear when you turn an old style radio dial, preferably on AM so you hear the stations fading in and out with lots of static and wierd whinning radio noises. Also, the tuning knob would be hooked up to a slow turning motor to make it appear a ghost was turning the knob. The light inside would have been red. Yeah I know, should have done it instead of just planning it.
