I am considering this as I need a new machine anyway. Anyone own this? I'd love some feedback.

I have one and will be making an ice box for it. It just doesn't hold enough ice to keep the fog cool for long. However, the fog juice lasted a loooooooooong time and it was fairly quiet. It also punched out a lot of fog, so much I was concerned for drivers on my road having low visibility.

I have this one too. Got it last year right after Halloween at the same store for $20. Miss Phantom is right, though. The ice that you put in melts fairly quickly, but an easy solution to that is to use insulated ice packs instead of ice. Tried it out with that last year for a test run. The ice packs took nearly 4 hours to start melting.
It also helps to have it hooked up to a timer that allows you to adjust how much fog you want to put out, because just one 30 second spurt puts out a LOT of fog.
I was very happy with this purchase, especially for $20. I would look for this same fog machine elsewhere besides Spirit Halloween, though (unless you're going to buy it when they start clearing out the store). Spirit Halloween tends to charge at or near the retail price for almost everything they sell unless you have a coupon (and those don't go very far).
See if you can find a new or slightly used (but working) one on Ebay, Amazon, Overstock, etc.
Personally, I'd be willing to pay $60 for it, but that's the most I would pay. If you're going to get it from Spirit, get it now because they will start to go up on it.
Hope this helps!

well considering that the first review of the product says this:
"Great machine. The fog just spews right out of it, and it doesn't make as much noise as other fog machines I've used.
The only issue I had was that the fog did not stay low to the ground, but I may have done something wrong."
I think it sounds like it doesn't do what it's supposed to do...So why would you want it.
That's a hilarious review by the way! Its a low lying fog machine, and the only issue this person had with it,
was that the fog didn't stay low to the ground...

It didn't stay low because it was probably too warm or windy outside, not because it's a bad machine. It's not a "professional" fogger but performs extremely well for it's little size. My area was nearly 75 degrees the night of Halloween, so that's why I need to add a cooler...or try those ice packs lksmart wrote about above.

Party city has one for $50, the Techno Ground Fogger. Im sure it works just as good, or just as bad depending on how you look at it (none of the economy low-lying fogger work very well)
If you get the one at PC, use a coupon for $15 off. here the link to the PC one. It's currently sold out online. so check your store.

I just got a 400 watt fogger from Wal-Mart today, and it works gr--eat! It goes off every four minutes, not needing a timer. You could spend $59.99 on that one, but making a quick fog chiller like I plan on doing could be a cheaper solution!

Fog Chillers are the way to go for low laying fog.

Even with that machine, you do still have to add ice, right? I'd rather use my PVC pipe filled with ice to cool the fog! Very easy solution!

I would say it is overpriced for what it does. A dedicated fog chiller with a standard fog machine would probably give better results.
