I have been having a heck of a time trying to learn how to use VSA with my 3 axis skulls. It seems that I get errors no matter what kind of audio file I try to use. I tried Halloween Bob's audio files and I get "ConnectFilter pSrc-m_pDinterlace: No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection". I tried to load "this is halloween.mp3" and I get "RenderFile: No combination of filters could be found to render the stream". It seems like no matter what audio I try to use I get an error of some type. I am using VSA v4.032 on a Windows XP laptop. What am I doing wrong? I have had zero luck with VSA or these skulls yet. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
Thank you,
John

I have tried wav and mp3 files. I tried Halloween Bob's VSA song files which are waves.

That's weird. If that happened to me I think I'd maybe try and re-install my audio drivers.

I have had problems with playifg one routine from one computer to another and VSA saying there is a difference in versions of VSA, when the version is the same on each computer. I've run them through Audacity then save as a wav. and then import from VSA . That seemed to work for me.

It is Friday the 13th - things have to go my way today right? I think I am going to flip everything to a Windows 7 laptop and give it a try. I have not tried editing my own audio files yet. Are there any good resources available to learn how to use audacity for 3 axis / VSA purposes? I have notice that a lot of haunters on this forum use audacity so it must be the way to go. I sent an email to Brookshire’s support last night as well – hopefully I can get this worked out soon. Thus far this whole 3 axis skull / VSA experience has been terrible. This forum and all you helpful fellow haunters have kept me sane.
