I bought this architectural piece for $5.00 severall years ago without a clue what I was going to do with it. So far, the best use I've found for it is to hold dirt off the ground. I was looking (ok drooling) over some of the tombstone entries shown here and then, WHAMO, I got an idea. This would be perfect as a tombstone. Made of fiberglass, it is almost 4' tall.
Only problem I have is I can only find white beaded styrofoam.

ok now First I have to say Great Find! Second i wouldn't do anything else like add styrofoam to that what I would do is get a Baby doll the type that is all plastic and turn it into an angel and paint it to look like stone (hint you can also use the stone spraypaint) and I would use the same texture on the architectural piece. Then you can hang the "angel from string or wire or you can even have it sitting at the bottom. Then you can add some LED's in the back pointing up toward the arches and WHAMO (yeah stolen from you lol) you have a very one of a kind tombstone...

I personally have not used white foam but I see a lot of posts by people who have. The results can be equally impressive. You already have the focal point of a very impressive prop! For that matter you could use thin plywood and carve it with a dremal and cover it with gray dryloc.

Sorry Doc, can't think of a thing to do with it, but if you'd like to send it my way I'll work up and idea and post the results for you to see! Wow, what a piece of artwork you have there, I'd love it for Halloween and maybe even not for Halloween!

That is a really nice piece. Your options are limitless! How about a half sized crypt and use that as an entrance then you can make half sized creeps, critters, skeletons walking into it carrying black roses and the like? Building half or even quarter scale will take a lot of the intimidation out of it.
but it's an awesome piece, anything you build will look great.

That is beautiful and has so much potential. You could even make it into an elegant guillotine and put a blade of foil at the top and have a severed head laying on the bottom. So much you can do with it.

My local Lowes carries polyisocyanurate foam board insulation. Anybody know what this or used it?
